>From the Lower Obs Whatsapp groups: There was a break-in last night at a house in Strubens Rd. The residents were asleep and unaware of the break-in until they woke up. Several cell-phones, a tablet, Kindle and a laptop were stolen.
There was a break-in at another property on Strubens Rd in the early afternoon of 10th March. In addition to this, there were several reports of people jumping over walls, in one case stealing a cactus, and there have been several cars broken into recently. Over the last week there had been many apparent false alarms at the house where last night's break-in happened, with the alarm going off while the residents were away, so possibly the perpetrators were testing the system somehow, or checking how quickly the armed response reacted? In general, residents of the area have reported dissatisfaction with armed response, particularly ADT, which in one case responded three or four hours after the alarm went off. Is there any news on whether the wheel of the horsebox has been repaired? -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- OPS [Obsid Public Safety] - 24/7 control room TEL: 021-447-1066 or 072-063-1653 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- EMERGENCIES: 10111 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ONW email: [email protected] WEB: www.obswatch.org.za FACEBOOK: facebook.com/obswatch ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Useful Obs Numbers: obs.org.za/obsdir You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups The Observatory Neighbourhood watch group.
