hi,
since in the current version of udev in fedora dont have the support for standard i/o based raw and asm doesnt compiles for my kernel (2.6.19.x), i have to use clustered file system for voting disk and ocr.

You notified me as mainline version, i am using.
I dont get it?

does the subversion from development holds support for it?Any other ways of using ocfs2?

thanks for the response

regards,
Nirmal Tom.

If you want to use the mainline version of ocfs2, use a raw partition
for the voting disk and ocr.

For the db, specify filesystemio_options=directio in init.ora.

hi,
i am trying to install oracle rac on fedora core 6 through iscsi.

when i try to mount,
mount.ocfs2: Invalid argument while mounting /dev/mapper/rac-crs on /mnt/crs. Check 'dmesg' for more information on this error.

error log in dmesg,
ocfs2: Unmounting device (253,11) on (node 255)
(27354,0):ocfs2_parse_options:753 ERROR: Unrecognized mount option "datavolume" or missing value

version of ocfs2:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# rpm -qa | grep ocfs
ocfs2console-1.2.2-1
ocfs2-tools-devel-1.2.2-1
ocfs2-2.6.9-42.EL-1.2.4-2
ocfs2-tools-1.2.2-1

i googled and found this datavolume option was taken from 1.2 but also it is quite needed for voting disk.I saw the dates of threads discussing this problem and it is almost 7 to 8 months back.

how to make it work? is any new version available now? or how to fix it?

thanks for any response.
