'ann' is a SWIG generated package, right? Sadly, these packages never
worked properly and never saw much maintenance. Unless somebody steps up
and actually fixes the SWIG stuff for Octave, I would recommend just
dropping the SWIG packages from Fedora.

An alternative would be to ensure that SWIG generated packages are never
loaded by default and produce a warning when they are loaded?
