I have been using the ann package to do nonparametric regression, and it has
the great advantage of being _much_ faster than the brute force method of
finding nearest neighbors. I just wanted to note that this code can be very
useful. There are some problems with the Octave wrappers, though. For
example, if you put "ann;" inside a function, you get an error the second
time the function is used.
