Thanks for supplying this code! I tried the toolbox on mac os x leopard (from macports, 3.2.4). I installed the cfitsio library via macports first. The toolbox compiled without problems for me. I tried with the file http://fits.gsfc.nasa.gov/samples/WFPC2u5780205r_c0fx.fits which loaded ok. Viewing it with imagesc(img(:,:,1)) looks something like the picture on http://fits.gsfc.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/browse?file=/samples/WFPC2u5780205r_c0fx.fits although I have no idea what is portrayed...
I think we should accept Dirk as a developer and add this toolbox. The licens and description files seem to be correct to me.
