I agree, MiniDisk is great!, it saves me carting in heaps of cds to work
each monday and then! back to home on friday.
But I can't attach it to my PC and stick files on it....yet.
I've been meaning to write something that saves files out the line out plug
and then later can load them from the line in plug. Means that I would have
cheap rewriteable 650+ mb disks to backup to. (And it would not make my
computer unusable when writing to them!)
Anyone know of software that does this already?

Can anyone say MINIDISC!!
pro: small, lighweight, sounds as good as a CD*, can't scratch it
easily, cheap, re-recordable, built in copy protection, etc
cons: sony.
Others make them now - and Sony is pushing it a bit more, but its a
format that SHOULD do well, both for the CD people and the tape people
(tho not for the DAT people - uses compression), but Sony screwed it up
way back....
