We've recently started trailing a product called MemTurbo
http://www.memturbo.com on development machines (no servers yet) with
impressive results (and that's an admission because I'm a stickler for plain
vanilla installs and no 3rd party add-ons).

It claims to do two things: push unused .dlls etc down to the swap file and
vacuum up leaked memory that is not part of any application memory space -
and it seems to work - ie close a rogue app, tell memturbo to do its thing
and hey presto no reboot.

My brother, who has to run a range of graphics apps on a pc because he sells
them, has not had an unplanned reboot in 3 months, down from several a day
(we've only been using it for a few weeks).

<snip>

I have had IIs blow out on me before - I thought my COM objects were
leaking themselfs to death but it was just IIs caching.

I don't know about 100Mb but certainly both Exchange & IIs can grab a
lot of memory - our Exchange box has 256Mb of RAM & all the swap it can
eat & we had to reboot it the other day because it was running low on
memory - I should add it is a dedicated Exchange server that only
handles ~25 users & no file, print or web serving...
