Peter My operation is clearly on a different level to yours (Jetstart rather than Jetstream) - but for what it's worth .... Had problems with both a Dynalink and 3Com modem before opting for my current Nokia Ni500 router. I believe the Nokia M1122 is the preferred router for serious users ((about $800 I think) Even with Jetstart there are serious speed improvements. It used to take me 8 mins to send my app on a 56k modem - now it's a minute and a half - and that's the slow side of the asynchronous link! An outfit called Quicksilver are offering an ISP connection that appears to be better and cheaper than Xtra. www.quicksilver.co.nz Mark ----- Original Message ----- From: "Peter Hyde" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Multiple recipients of list offtopic" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, May 16, 2001 9:03 PM Subject: [DUG-OFFTOPIC]: (rather offtopic!)
