When I first put Vista (64) on and installed everything, I did the same, took an HD image then upgraded to Win7.
I was still having to use Delphi 7 at that point for 2 projects as I was in the middle of upgrading them, and it gave me a few issues, so I ended up rolling back to Vista, but keen to hear what others have to say. Done a HD image first, wondering if anyone has any tips, and if I might strike any issues with Delphi 2007 or VMWare workstation 6 (Reason - happy with Vista, but want better suspend and resume performance and reliability, and like the Windows 7 UI) Using Windows Mail - Any advantage in switching to Windows Live Mail? (MS tells me an inplace upgrade will leave Windows Mail - (which is supplied only with Vista) as is). Does an inplace upgrade leave such setups as stored Wireless networks and printers present? John
