Finally bit the bullet and moved from a 7 year old ultra reliable CDMA Sanyo 6600 to a Android 4.0 Galaxy Nexus.
Question: Telecom or 2 degrees for mobile + Dataplan? 2Degrees is cheaper - $39 gives 220 free mins + 2500 texts + 1.1GB data/month (some specials in there) Telecom $46 gives 50 mins + 300 texts + 500MB data. Can get 5c/min to lots of landlines on ringing out using Friends. Don't text much. Cheaper vs Better coverage. 2 degrees have good cover inside Ak, Well, Chch, Queenstown. Telecom better everywhere else. Local vs my data going to China (2degrees is Huawei) - just kidding Anyone have recommendations from their experiences????
