SSD prices have already fallen significantly http://pricespy.co.nz/product.php?p=675426 If you look at the price graph, you'll see that the 120GB Vertex 2 (which I have in my home computer) has halved in value over the last 18 months. After adding memory, upgrading to an SSD is now probably the most cost effective way of increasing a computers performance.
