Depends on what VPN software is in use and the rules configured.

Our setup is the same - if you VPN to a network, then you only have network access to the network to which you VPN into.
For us this is done as a security issue, so that viruses etc cannot jump across networks.

Don't know if adding a second card will get around the issue as it depends on where the VPN software changes the TCP/IP stack.

Subject: [DUG-Offtopic] VPN's

Hi All.
I have access to a VPN (internal Company one), and currently if I want to access this, I need to manually initiate the connection...as you would expect...but if I am connecting to home via Remote Desktop, then connect to teh VPn, I loose my remote desktop.

What I am wondering is, if anyone knows, if I add another network card to my PC, could I say that the VPN connection should/would use this 2nd n/work card?  the idea being if I DO Remote desktop into home to get into the VPN, I wouldnt loose my remote desktop connection.

Thanks, Jeremy
