Hi
We are currently using Delphi 6 Pro. We are considering moving to Turbo
Delphi pro but I have a few questions.
1. Can Turbo Delphi open our old D6 projects or is there some sort of
conversion required?
Not anymore than upgrading from other Delphi versions. Changes may be required.
2. Is there some sort of product upgrade available or do we just have
to buy it at full price?
No. Borland considers the Turbo product line New Products. Therefore
there is no upgrade prices for thes first Turbo versions.
3. Where do we buy it from and for how much? The
http://www.turboexplorer.com web site is listed as where to purchase but
I cant find a purchase link.
I'd say the Developers Inc company could be contacted about purchasing
4. Can I install Turbo Delphi pro and Delphi 6 Pro on the same machine?
Yes
This seems a really good product but DevCo could make it easier to buy :)
Agreed
Does anyone have any comments or experience with the Turbo products?
They are really just BDS 2006 with only one language.
Also if you think you might want to do .NET (C# or Delphi) in the
future you'd be better off upgrading to the full BDS product.
cheers,
Jeremy
