I converted from Delphi 5 Pro to D2006 Pro. Turbo Pro version is basically D2006... Close to your question...my experience was:
1. Can Turbo Delphi open our old D6 projects or is there some sort of conversion required? Open DPR, creates a new file .BDSPROJ automatically. (This file saves much more stuff about the last open state of the project, including breakpoints and which units open etc, and .bdsproj used to open the project after that) 4. Can I install Turbo Delphi pro and Delphi 6 Pro on the same machine? I have D5 and D2006 are on the same PC, made sure later version installed to different folders (which it does by default anyway). Have to say haven't used D5 once since upgrading though. BUT keep the help files - they are worth loading into the tools menu! Overall I had no conversion issues. Only used a couple of tiny components outside the VCL for which I had source, so no worries. Worst problem was some of the source got too indented, had to fix manually. We are considering moving to Turbo Delphi pro but I have a few questions. 2. Is there some sort of product upgrade available or do we just have to buy it at full price? 3. Where do we buy it from and for how much? The http://www.turboexplorer.com web site is listed as where to purchase but I cant find a purchase link. This seems a really good product but DevCo could make it easier to buy :) Does anyone have any comments or experience with the Turbo products? -- Rob Martin Software Engineer phone +64 03 377 0495 fax +64 03 377 0496 web www.chreos.com Wild Software Ltd _______________________________________________ Offtopic mailing list [email protected] http://ns3.123.co.nz/mailman/listinfo/offtopic __________ NOD32 1.1461 (20060329) Information __________ This message was checked by NOD32 antivirus system. http://www.eset.com _______________________________________________ Offtopic mailing list [email protected] http://ns3.123.co.nz/mailman/listinfo/offtopic
