Nice clarification, thanks Keith.

My personal opinion is, regardless of which scenario it turns out to be 
(from your last paragraph), either would be fine for opensolaris.org

It sounds like currently it is the latter: Managing and distributing 
additional source that is not yet integrated into Sun Solaris; but if 
the source is available via *OpenSolaris* (whether it's classified as a 
consolidation or not), then it can be picked up by additional 
OpenSolaris distributions for inclusion in their respective distribution.

i.e.: Belenix Clustering Edition or Nexenta HA or something whizzy and 
markety like that.
