Well I find this quite an unfortunate turn in events. Were we to anticipate that Oracle would recieve the OpenSolaris community with arms wide open? It seems as if they have bigger fish to fry and instead are leaving what is left of our community to fend for itself. Perhaps a fork in necessary in order to preserve the project from corporate red tape. But honestly, in order for something like that to happen, we need to revitalize ourselves again and spring forth a new beginning. Otherwise, we will go down the same road other Sun projects have gone, the way of the dodo bird. I am still here and am willing to lend a hand in any efforts to reboot this project, but I am not sure if that will even be enough. Hopefully we can find a light at the end of the tunnel.
