OKay, Alan you have it reversed. We are not in contact with Oracle because Oracle has no clue or no desire or some other mental and legal problem with the concept of an open source project and an open community. There is NO Oracle contact person for the OGB. There is no one at Oracle listening nor answering the phone. I'm not going to make this pretty or sugar coated but Oracle has done more damage to the open community concept in six months than all of Suns financial and product blunders could do in a decade. Simply put, no one at Oracle is listening nor do they feel they have to. The release of the OpenSolaris binary images ( Indiana or otherwise ) have stopped and all you Oracle folks are now internal minions bound under some little pieces of paper. Let's face it, even Ian Murdock gave up fighting with you people while he was still on the pay roll of Sun and he was totally internal at that point. Hell, even the source code is no longer buildable if one tries to follow the broken documentation[1] on the OpenSolaris site. A web site which is also entirely controlled by internal folks owned by Oracle. I'm surprised you people are not walking around in jack boots by now. No, I think that the OGB has a plan and we spoke about it in private and it makes full sense to proceed as discussed. -- Dennis Clarke dcla...@opensolaris.ca <- Email related to the open source Solaris dcla...@blastwave.org <- Email related to open source for Solaris [1] I filed a bug report on that and it was taken internal and buried right away. _______________________________________________ ogb-discuss mailing list ogb-discuss@opensolaris.org http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/ogb-discuss
