The mails in question also violate the Code of Conduct adopted by the OGB:

Use of profanities directed at other participants, whether individual or
corporate, do not count as "be respectful", and fall afoul of "there is
no excuse for poor behavior or personal attacks."   Using them to express
frustration at a situation ("I was going to submit a code contribution,
but it was on my f*ing disk that died") would not violate those
rules, though it may not be the best way to create a community inclusive
of those who do not like to see that language in any situation.
