Not to mention that it's probably not true in the initial product, either: without seeing the PI declaration, i'm willing to bet that much of it isn't eligible for copyright protection in the first place, being names or short phrases, ideas, or other elements that are legitimate PI or possibly potential trademarks, but not copyrightable.
