instances with repetition: even your example shows
that flaw. Allow a given instance of use is by no
means a carte blanche to allow additional instances.
But once you say someone can make something, you can't
turn around and demand they unmake it. You're SOL, you
gave permission -- with a few weird exceptions
(i.e. total transferal of rights vs. free use of the
those rights), as I understand the issue."
I am not saying a person can be commanded to unmake
something that was made.
I dont know why I bother to help on these topics.
Every time I do I get responses like this and I say
I'm not going to help again. And then I do it anyway.
I must be insane.
Bottom line is if the "policy" is construed as a
license, which it could be, it is revocable. Meaning
WotC can say "we dont want you to use our IP/copyright
material any more" which means you would have to take
your fan site down. They cant make you destroy the
site, just not post it.
The permission given (if construed as a license) was
essentially: "you can do this until we tell you to
stop."
