On the subject of including conversion notes -- couldn't someone not
interested in the D20 STL or in writing D20-centric supplements simply
write conversion notes in his/her own words (not using OGLed text) and
publish them? The notes would not be OGCed, so, standard US trademark
law would apply. You could not use the D20 logo, but you could, AFAIK,
use phrases like "Creeks&Crawdads Second Edition includes conversion
rules for D&D(r)" "D&D is a trademark owned by WOTC and used without
permission"

You'd only run into problems if your conversion rules contained material
that infringed on Open Gaming Content.

Or am I missing something?
