Title: RE: [Open_Gaming] industry standard

|There is no 'safe harbour' in the Dominion Rules Licence, at

Sorry about this,
I'm not meaning to step on anyone's toes here. I probably wasn't as clear as I'd meant to be. Happens more than you'd think. I was refering to complete and total lack of safe harbor. Ie. If you print it, then it's open. That includes all champaign settings, NPCs, etc.. Not just rules.

Here's how it works. ANYTHING you write under this liscence becomes OGC. There is nothing remotely resembling this under my proposal. The only stipulation being not allowed to touch other people's Trademarks or Copyrights. To go back to a previous example: No Pepsi Golems. Not even if you get permission from Pepsi to do this because all of your work is then open and Pepsi isn't going to want it's trademark all over every gaming book of the line. This is for later safety. With a system that will be growing organically, there needs to be strictures on keeping things from falling like dominos.

Hope this clarifies,
-Bill (Who's communication skills still need work)
