Yes I'm responding to myself.
but I wanted to add the letter I sent, in case anyone else felt like
reading.

        In this article you state:

At his home, investigators found computer equipment, a will, gun cases and
ammunition, "Dungeon(sic) and Dragons" books and a passport.

I was wondering what the relevance of the "Dungeons and Dragons" books is. I
hope you are not implying that these books have any relation to the violence
that occurred because if you are you are propagating that both myself and
many others have been trying to diminish. I am an avid roleplayer of D&D
(the common abbreviation for "Dungeons and Dragons") as well as games like
Vampire: The Masquerade, Star Wars and more. I am also opposed to violence
of any kind in reality. Games are one thing, I enjoy roleplaying and
fighting in game. In real life I have only gone hunting once, and I hated
it. I do not even own any weapons, but in games my characters have been
known to use swords, crossbows, flintlock pistols, all the way up to
shotguns and semi-automatics.
I also consider myself a digerati and fail to see the unity between murder
and owning computer equipment, especially considering nearly 60% of people
have internet access and many more own computers of one type or another.
Does this mean that the majority of people are likely to go on a murderous
rampage? of course not. I bet he even owned a TV, why didn't that fact
become part of the story. Also, he probably has owns a vcr and movies, a
common target as the cause of violence, wasn't this important?
In summary, I ask that you keep news facts relevant to the story or not
include them. There are many people like myself who do play these
roleplaying games and are still fighting against the horrible "Satanist"
stereotype they were given in the early 1980s by people such as Jack Chick.
Please don't propagate this inane drivel. Also, if ever you would be
interested in learning about the reality of what goes on at gaming rather
than going by rumor, I and many of my friends would be willing to show you.
