IMHO, roleplaying a topic is subject to similar criteria as joking about a topic. i've long said that *no* topic is too important to joke about, but there *are* some things that aren't important *enough* to bother joking about--if something cannot withstand humor, it can't really be that serious. what matters is not the import or seriousness of the topic, but the caliber of the joke. similarly, i don't think there's any topic that's inherently off-limits to RPing--what matters is the quality of the RPing. done well, any topic is possible. (btw, i'll point out that Kult and Unknown Armies can verge on being Pedophile: the Touching, and The Last Exodus comes right out and makes it an element. and your PC could be a pedophile. so some out there have already decided that such topics are acceptable.) both pedophilia and school ostracization/violence have been dealt with on TV (Law & Order and Boston Public, just to start with)--are those not acceptable? or is one form of art/exploration acceptable, but another not? >For the record, I see nothing wrong with the subject matter of this proposed >game.
