At 01:58 PM 1/4/2003 -1000, Reginald Cablayan took quill in hand to say:
In much the same way as GAMA had (probably still has) materials that explain that roleplaying is not the tool of the devil, perhaps what the OGF needs is an on-line document that can be sent to those who demonstrate the need to be educated about what the OGL is all about. It would certainly help if some of those involved in its authorship were from those companies who so often are portrayed as being the potential victims of the conspiracy. Perhaps a detailed examination of what the licenses mean and what Wizards can and cannot do with them would be in order.Perhaps someone should try to write an article to debunk all the myths surrounding Wizards' Open Game License and d20 System Trademark License. Of course, I would not be surprised if they accuse the article writer of being a puppet for Wizards.
Although I myself am a writer, I am not a lawyer and neither have I consulted one about the OGL. However, I am more than willing to provide some copy writing and/or editing if someone would provide me with the raw information to work from.
