Thank you. Your explanation and examples make it much clearer to me how this could be construed as derivative. I think you are right in saying that I gave more credence to those who agreed with me. Your examples have given me a lot to think about. I'll be removing the article first chance I get and await permission from Wizards before putting it back up.
And I'll tell Chris to be _way_ more careful about what he puts in his articles, unless he's willing to try his hand at parody.
