Sigil, can you post whatever reply you might get. If we were to all copy your > questions and send to MS, he'd get even more upset...

Well no, I can just delete them. I tend not to get too stressed about these things. This however, raises the point - in what past life did I do something to you? Why would you want to upset me?

Didn't you read his message? He *doesn't* want to upset you.

I would remind everyone that I came on to this list to resolve an error that crept in with the section 15 of one book, and did so to the satisfaction of all parties concerned. It seems that was not enough for a small number of people here.

No. It's not enough. You need to fix *all* of your problems, not just one of them.

I said before, there are certain things we have to protect for reasons that do not seem to have been raised on this list, though they are very real to us.

Great. No problem. But that has nothing to do with what people are complaining about. For example, you have no right or reason to close content which doesn't belong to you.

Plus, unclear OGC designations don't aid you in your quest to protect things you want to protect. Unclear OGC designations are likely to lead people using your OGC to make mistakes... in which case they're likely to infringe on the very things you're attempting to protect.

You seem to believe that this mailing list is full of jackals out to "get you". Quite the contrary. The mailing list is full of people who have an active, commercial interest in the OGL... and are distressed to see you failing to live up to your contractural obligations.

Now, you've said that you're looking into getting these problems fixed in the future. And that's fantastic. But saying "we're looking into fixing these problems, but all of you claiming that there are problems are mudslinging bastards" makes me raise my eyebrow more than a little.
