Second that. 

A straightforward abstraction of WGL/GLX is more important at this 
point than added features only available under Linux. Further:
if the ARB is willing to approve a context independend solution, 
UNIX vendors will still have to implement it. The more ambitious 
this gets, the more constraints on implementation, the more delay 
till implementations ship - for Linux, for other UNIX. As an app
coder, I'd rather have less but soon (or at all).

Beating a decomposing horse, I would like to suggest that this
list agrees that if the ARB should reject a context independend
GLX_ARB_get_proc_address, we are prepared to ask for a context
dependend wglGetProcAddress equivalent and have this fallback 
proposal ready.
