libGL.so should not create any namespace polution and should not export any
symbols that do not begin with gl or glX.   Perhaps the ABI should
specify this, by listing the symbols that will be exported ( plus
the recipe for vendor specific extension symbols).  Surely linux has
the technology to ensure transitively linkages are not exported?
