Opps, I forgot to come back and fix this properly...

I'm astonished that you can't reproduce this. Looking at the source, I
don't see how it's possible that you wouldn't see it. I'm concerned
that -- I'm not joking here -- the fact that you can't see this bug is
itself a bug. Maybe some other bug is covering up this one, or
something.
