Made some progress. Created a librarians usergroup on Open Library and gave permission to edit all pages under /dev/ to that usergroup.
http://openlibrary.org/usergroup/librarians Ben, you are part of that usergroup. Please try to edit any of the developer docs and let me know if that works.
