Thomas - There is definitely a need to do a good cleanup on the OL data. Early on there was a rush to "fill" the database and some sources were taken in whose quality was problematic. We may be able to remove those with bots -- at least that's what I hope.
The Archive does not archive its mailing lists as a policy -- at least, that's how I recall it being explained in the early days. I believe it relates to privacy concerns and possibly legal ones. One of the reasons why it would be good to have community pages on OL is that some very valuable information passes through this email list that we should capture and make easy to find. I personally hate rummaging through email lists looking for something that I think I saw but don't remember who, or when. kc On 3/8/13 5:28 AM, Thomas Krichel wrote: > Lars Aronsson writes > >> "One page for every book" is one vision I've heard, but it doesn't >> solve any real problem for me. > > But it is a start.
