Hi CACook, Although there is a DAISY version of the book you borrowed, I see there is an eBook checked out (it may depend on the region you're in whether eBook versions are available). I don't have a lot of experience with borrowing books from the Open Library, but from what I do know: - Many books can be downloaded as PDF or EPUB files with Digital Rights Management from Adobe - when you borrow such a book, and the webpage says "you've checked out this book", there are three options: view in BookReader (an application that runs in your browser), download as PDF and download as EPUB - not all lendable books can be downloaded - for these, there is only the option "read in BookReader" - in BookReader, to turn a page you can use the arrow keys left and right, or click the right page to go forward (left page to go back), or click the arrow buttons in the lower right corner of the browser window.
I just tried http://openlibrary.org/books/OL24204573M/The_Dale_Carnegie_course_in_effective_speaking_human_relations_and_developing_courage_and_confidence and all these page turning options worked for me in Firefox on a Mac. If they don't work in (the latest) Firefox on Debian, there may be a bug. Could you try using the Dale Carnegie book?
