Being from truck country and in the market for a truck I have to say the
same thing about the "dumbing down" of pickups. Whereas a SUV is a
screwed up station wagon the Honka Ridgeline and Chebby Avalanche are
screwed up trucks.

groceries.
Check. I say a Ridgeline carrying a load (a rare sight) and they had
the tailgate down to fit 3 mountain bicycles in it. :0
2- They are gas hungry like a truck so they aren't as good as a car.
Check.
3- They are easier to tip over in a sharp turn than a car.
Too early to tell but I'd assume so since they are higher.
4- They are still built somewhat like a car so you can't really use them as
4x4 to go cross country.
Check.
So what the hell are peoples attraction with
em? They aren't a car. They aren't a truck. The're pointless as either
one.
Exactly. Compromises that give you the worst of both worlds.
