I'm still toying with the Gearvendors overdrive unit. It appears the trans tunnel in my 72 Cutlass will have to be "shaped" after all, in addition to a lot of wiring work.
A guy I know has an '87 Cutlass with a 2004R trans in it. Says he has the benefit of  good launch and overdrive. Somehow I think he had to find a valve body from Buick to make it work (maybe a turbo or grand national)  Seems like it would be a lot easier than the Geravendors setup. Anybody have any experience with the 2004R?
