Hello, I like the S/P 400's. I have one in my 67 Olds 98 LS. I have it on a manuel switch. When energized it is in "high" stall around 2200 RPM's. It is a street/strip car, lol It weighs 4680#. If any went to the Miller meet at Norwalk the last 2 years u may have seen it. It took 3rd place $ 2 years ago in the street class. I drove it there last summer but didn't race it. It's best times are 14.18 @ 100 and is very consistant. I put it in "high" stall, leave the line, switch into "low" stall (lockup) at the 60' mark. My 60' times are 2.0, maybe nothing to brag about but it is a heavy car and the best gear I could find was a 3:08 posi. They make a timer (maybe Bruce Roe?) if I get one I would set it for 2 seconds after the brake petal is released so it would be switching into lockup at the 60' mark. It is hard to find trans filters for these transmissions. I am going to change engines probably this winter and put a lo-po in it that is more
streetable, I now mix a gal. of race gas per 8 hi-test. The engine in it went 11:47 @ 117 in a G-body race car. Later, Ken
