Project Objectives: (excerpt)
1. At least one fully implemented and tested XO activity will be
developed that is fun, engaging, and educational for 1st graders in
rural southeastern Missouri and that addresses health and wellness
issues for young children.
2. Computer Science college students will gain experience working
in partnership with community members to develop technology solutions
for social problems.
3. A Computer Science course will be designed as a
service-oriented, capstone course for majors at both Saint Mary's
University and Winona State University.

Project Objectives: (excerpt)
Each trio of three students will receive a single grade on their
progress and completion. A final exam of all material covered will be
administered to the students individually, which will indicate their
personal level of achievement and understanding of the projects, and
will be recorded for the program.
Documentation of student progress will be recorded and used as a tool to
help the Teachers improve the grade level curriculum and maximize the
student’s learning potential.
