Hilariously this is another result of <M$> trying to protect market
share with an inferior product (Apple does the same thing). Though I
have to admit I kind of do like 'Dows 8.1 on a touchscreen notebook...
Tried build 5556 with same result. Installer does not like efi computers
apparently. Again notebook is ASUS X550C. And I _DO _know how to get
wireless to work on this computer (We in QA may find that to not be a
trivial matter going forward). Error remains "ioctl error" when
attempting to install Grub2 during install with 5556 .iso (Or 2014 stable).
Any help going forward would be a help to me as I am time constricted.
Aside: Do we really need to keep getting the same e-mails twice ie.
Cooker and QA? I'm a bit busy for that. And could I lose the kahaniah
e-mails? Again busy, kahaniah should be on seperate list anyway should
they not? And before any one asks, I do know how to create e-mail
filters but it gets complicated over multiple boxes...
Aside dux: QA mailing list is proving to be largely redundant as it is
never used for strictly QA communication. Anyone disagree with this?
Pretty much same as QA IRC huh? OM-Cooker seems to be where any relevant
conversation takes place. Bringing this up in the spirit of someone who
wishes to continue to contribute but is constricted time-wise.
