Speaking of IRC as not suitable medium for taking decision, a project.openmandriva.org was set up as answer for this issue.This is a modern tool, that can gather people opinions on specific ideas (yes they will not get lost in a jungle of e-mails, or IRC lines), allow to track progress, manage risks etc.
All above is useles without people's commitment for the cause of bringing OMA and OMV to next level.
