You integration-override.yaml should have a section for SO.
You are not over riding the default settings in the SO helm chart with your
environment.

  1. You can either create and use an integration-override.yaml in your helm
deploy command line or
  2. Edit the appropriate sections in robot and SO to use the Openstack
parameters in your environment and then do a make so, make robot, make onap

I’ve attached the pertinent sections of integration-override.yaml from
windriver with some redactions.

https://docs.onap.org/en/casablanca/submodules/integration.git/docs/index.html?highlight=Environment%20and%20RC%20files
 has more details.

You need all the robot parameters so that the preload data references the
correct data for your environment.

Subject: Re: [onap-discuss] [Casablanca] Kafka's pod in crashloobackoff

Hi,

we executed ./demo-k8s.sh onap instantiateVFW but the command failed with the
following error:

ConnectionError: HTTPConnectionPool(host='1.2.3.4', port=5000): Max retries
exceeded with url: /v2.0/tokens (Caused by
NewConnectionError('<urllib3.connection.HTTPConnection object at
0x7f1516e82c50>: Failed to establish a new connection: [Errno 110] Connection
timed out',))

It seems that the host IP is setted to default value (1.2.3.4) . Seeing at
the table catalogdb.identity_services located in so-db we find the following
data:

'DEFAULT_KEYSTONE', 'http://1.2.3.4:5000/v2.0', 'vnf_user',
'c124921a3a0efbe579782cde8227681e', 'service', 'admin', '1', 'KEYSTONE',
'USERNAME_PASSWORD', 'FLYWAY', '2019-02-09 14:52:30', '2019-02-09 14:52:30'

We can't find any table row containg our openstack custom configuration

We tried also to update values (red) in table with the proper values but test
failed again ... the parameter values seems to be still the default ones.

According to step 3 of OOM installation guide, we customized the
onap/values.yaml file and more specifically information about openstack cloud
configuration for SO and APPC as below:

      openStackUserName: "$OPENSTACK_USER_NAME"

     openStackRegion: "$OPENSTACK_REGION"

     openStackKeyStoneUrl: "$OPENSTACK_KEYSTONE_URL"

     openStackServiceTenantName: "$OPENSTACK_TENANT_NAME"

     openStackEncryptedPasswordHere: "$OPENSTACK_ENCRYPTED_PASSWORD"

We find this kind of configuration information also in file with default values

     /oom/kubernetes/onap/resources/environments/dev.yaml

     /oom/kubernetes/so/charts/so-openstack-adapter/values.yaml

My questions are:

1) should I configure just one file (onap/values.yaml) as described into the
oom_quickstart_guide.html guide (but it seems not being enough) or should I
configure some extra files (e.g. …. environments/dev.yaml and ….
so-openstack-adapter/values.yaml…other ones) ?

2) is it possible to update configuration files without re-installing ONAP
component ?
