This group is trying to gather requirements(such as MEC, Distributed analytics, scaling, security, regulatory, constrained environments), figure out the architecture with ONAP to meet those requirements, identify gaps and feed them to various existing subcommittees. I agree that much of the output (can be new) that comes out of Edge group may be generic in nature. Team is also very flexible in listening for ideas on best way to take this forward - Status Quo as it is today (working group under use case subcommittee with additional coordinator position), Edge subcommittee or a task force under TSC. The term 'task force' does not appeal to me as it appears that it is for a task and give impression that it is temporary. I don't want to get ahead of what the edge group plans to present in TSC :). I think team will get chance to present this in next TSC and we can go from there. This is being co-chaired by Ramki and Raghu. This group meets on weekly basis and continue to attract multiple stake holders.
