Paul is correct - IBM does donate computers to non-profits. Many of our
local non-profits have received equipment from them over the past several
years. The process is an annual one, taking place in the spring (deadlines
are usually around June 1). United Way of Olmsted County distributes
information about this program in a couple ways - they have their own
mailing list, comprised of most local non-profits, and they also distribute
information through our office (United Way of the Greater Winona Area). I
also send press releases to the local papers to make sure all non-profits
have the chance to see the information and application procedure. It's been
a great program.

I agree with Craig, as well. It's a shame that governmental organizations
can't pass along their equipment (which may be outdated but is still often
better than many small organizations have). Seems like a waste.
