[Winona Online Democracy]
Dear All,
The largest part of my concern is the accessability to the law and the
nature in witch it is enforced. We have federal agencies that try and curb
any insufitiant efforts to safety. But at best, they can only do meager
assistance in this realm.
There was on situation where at a company's warehouse an employee's
skin came into contact with some epoxy resin. This epoxy disolved her skin
on her arms and hands. Her skin was not covered with this stuff, just
dribbled over them. Still she needed to go to the hospital and did not have
full use of her two limbs. Then two years latter, I had decided to work
there again at a seasonal position.
The manner in which the epoxy was packaged and placed in the warehouse
had not changed.
The manner that employees need to handle this product have not changed.
The manner in which employees are treated when they mention this
situation have not changed (BTW its poor).
No added warning signs, or words of caution have appeard on the
packages.
And no suppervisors seem to think there is any potential danger.
On top of this, the people that handle this stuff are not experienced
in handling these types of matterials, they are teanagers in highschool or
people going to college. Many don't know what it is they are touching, or
the dangers in misshandling such things.
So, can't local agencies be used to enforce these kind of safety laws.
Like the Fire or Police departments? Or can't such a thing be placed within
the Fire Departments right to inspect a building, they do handle ambulance
calls, right?! It just seems like a reasonable preventative measure.

Tony;
Certainly there are laws protecting employees in Winona and everywhere else,
as Mr. Brooks suggests.
However, your post is very ambiguous as to what violations or dangerous
situations exist, Perhaps if you could be more specific in where/what the
problem(s) is it would be easier for someone to direct you to the proper
agency(ies) for relive.

BTW YOU ALL, a reply like this one from [EMAIL PROTECTED] are original. If
all you are going to do is say "I agree... I'll send a copy of your letter
to xyz Capitol..." then you better not send it at all. That kind of reply
is pointless and helps the little man/woman VERY LITTLE. The point of this
OnLineDemocacy is to help us little people to discuss, find ways to
actuallize our possition in government, and to create solutions on our own.
telling me you flat out "aggree" does me NOTHING AT ALL.
