[Winona Online Democracy]
We saw the new scanners in service in Washington County. Worked beautifully!
They were all hooked up to the County by modem; and, the County had the
totals live on its Web Site, from almost the minute the polls closed. I hear
the scanners ran about $7,000 each. The County bought them all, and supplied
them to the cities. We also got all the ballots and assorted supplies free
from the County, this time. I guess we supply those items hereafter.
