The negative attitude towards sick days further represents what kind of
work-aholic society the US of A has degraded into. Most European nations
receive several weeks of vacation time per year. Here the standard is
two weeks. If you are sick 'oh no, you have committed the 11th sin!'

Look at the letters schools send out prior to the worthless ink
formations they hand out. In the letters they usually state that if you
are sick you should show up anyway after all it is important. Sure
show-up take the test and flunk it because you are distracted with being
sick. That makes about as much sense as shooting someone in the heart to
save their life. Again, it is time to accept the fact that people fall
ill. Deal with it!

Simple equations:

Humans = Do get sick
Deities = Do not get sick
Humans are not Deities
As soon as people accept that fact the sooner society can advance.
