[Winona Online Democracy]
One point has been completely missed here; the point which I think may
have Andrew truly irked (or at least it irks me). Administrators, and
possibly other school officials, while I attended 861 frequently abused
their "right" to search students lockers. I use myself as an example of
this. While I attended 861, my locker was searched three or more times
per week. This was apparent because the "stuff" contained within locker
(books, etc.) were rarely ever put back exactly how they were originally
placed. When the contents of your locker appear out place on multiple
occasions, you can not just chalk it up to a faulty memory every time.
So to prove it to myself that my locker was being searched, I began
measuring positions of books (along with six other little tricks I
developed) which confirmed exactly as I had suspected.
The point here is, I posed NO threat to the school or the district and
yet my locker was searched frequently as if I did. Obviously the
administration was overly paranoid about NOTHING! The only thing I would
ever do to this school district is "attack it with words." Why? If I did
blow up a building, I would be hauled to jail and charged. "Attacking
the district with words" is completely legal and any sort of desire for
revenge is done so without having to deal with the courts. Further more,
if someone did blow a district building up, it would probably take the
conservatives of this town ten years (or more) to approve a referendum
to construct a new building. Why hurt everyone when the administration
is the problem? That like the administration, is illogical.

How often do you say to yourself, "I didn't do it; so of course it
didn't get done?"
