With standard Linux library (linuxthreads or glibc) you have 1:1 scheduling
(i.e. one thread in oops requre one thread (process) in kernel). With
another library (GNU Pth, for example) you wil have alvays single kernel
thread regardles of number of threads oops create during runtime N:1

There is another approach - N:M schema, where you can have lot of
application threads ans small number of kernel threads. This can resolve
problems with linuxthreads when application create lot of threads.
