I have lightly tested the s390x portable build under docker versions of s390x/ubuntu and s390x/almalinux - both work. I think that we even can remove the ‘ubuntu’ segment of the name of the zip that contains the portable version.

If you think that is fine for S390 please go ahead and change the one on Sourceforge but the naming follows from rules (same rules for all) in CMakelists.txt so I do not want to tamper with that. For the Zip I pass the ball to Rony, he wrote those rules.

The portable Linux version should in principle run on all Linux distributions if the bitness and machine platform are the same. If we have just a single s390x binary, then we probably should name it distribution neutrally as otherwise people might think that a SUSE version cannot run un an Ubuntu system or vice versa.

Best regards
