Well, the change was incomplete. Now mainline adequately reflects the above restriction. The number of functions affected grew, but not significantly. Overall, each time I looked at the affected functions, I had a distinct feeling of reading an OCCC code; so,I think the change is for the better. There may be fallout -- I hope not too much.
