I'm from the same opinion. The target are not the doom III player. So we don't need a "violent" name. And for my point of view, it's quite ridiculous. And if the card is not fast, you could have a counter effect. I had proposed things like HoG (for heart of gold) but maybe it's too hacker centric. For the logo, i had an idea when seeing the cover of a magasin. (http://www.linformaticien.fr/images/CouvN22.gif) Each foss project have a caracter (tux for linux, the little demon for BSD, ...).
